Care Quality Commission - Inspections

The CQC normally announces which CCG areas they are visiting at least four weeks before they start to inspect practices in those area.  Only in exceptional circumstances will the CQC undertake an inspection unannounced.

Practices should have a named inspector who can be contacted directly during the notice period prior to an inspection.

It is important that practices are prepared and ready for their inspection.
