BMA Employer Advisory Service (EAS)
You might already access to HR support, often your employment contracts, contact variations, provision of handbooks and supporting employment policies are provided to via this route. However, should you need additional support you can contact the BMA Employer Advisory Service (EAS).
To access the BMA EAS you need to have at least one GP partner as an active BMA member. You must provide that GP partners BMA number when you contact them. Contacting the BMA EAS can be particularly helpful when dealing with complex issues as the team can provide a second opinion, sit in (virtually) on some HR meetings, and can also provide mediation.
Heales Occupational Health
NHS England commissioned service is relatively limited in scope. Occupational health services for GP practice staff other than medical practitioners on the medical performers list (MPL) are not funded or commissioned by NHS England and are therefore a direct responsibility of the practice.
In order to make referrals to Heales Medical or request services, you need to register online; further details can be found below.
