Job summary
Help shape the next chapter of general practice.
An exciting new chapter for WellBN.
WellBN is preparing to launch a new organisation in January 2027, alongside an upcoming rebrand and under new management led by Dr Tom Lever. It’s an exciting time to join us as we develop a progressive, modern approach to general practice, with compassionate patient care, collaborative working and staff wellbeing at its heart.
We’re looking for enthusiastic, compassionate GPs who want to help shape that next chapter. Joining ahead of the launch, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your experience, clinical interests and ideas to the way we work — helping develop services and a supportive working environment that meet the needs of our patients and team.
Our approach combines the strengths of a multi-disciplinary team with modern digital tools, thoughtful appointment planning and dedicated administration time.
Responsibilities
Your role
You will provide compassionate, high-quality general practice care through face-to-face and telephone consultations, clinical assessment, prescribing, health education and appropriate referral.
Working alongside our multi-disciplinary team, you will maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to clinical governance, audit and service improvement. There will also be opportunities to develop specialist interests and help shape new models of care.
A working pattern designed for sustainable general practice.
We recognise the importance of time to consult properly, manageable administration and support from colleagues. Our working arrangements include:
- 15-minute routine appointments
- Non-duty clinical sessions comprising 12 appointments, with an additional 10 minutes at the end for administration
- One paid administration session each week, with the option to work from home
- A pro-rata duty-day rota focused on managing incoming online requests
- Infrequent home visits
- SystmOne, supported by Accurx triage
Requirements
About you

You will have:
- Full GMC registration
- MRCGP or an equivalent qualification
- Experience in primary care and managing undifferentiated clinical conditions
- A commitment to continuing professional development, safeguarding and clinical governance
- Strong communication skills and confidence using electronic clinical records
- A commitment to inclusive, compassionate care
- Eligibility to work in the UK and the ability to work across our three sites as required
Additional clinical interests, experience in enhanced services, and participation in audit or service improvement are welcomed.
