Job summary
Chobham & West End Medical Practice is looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for four sessions per week, working Thursdays and Fridays.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, forward-thinking training practice serving patients across two sites. We are looking for a GP who is patient-centred, team-oriented and keen to contribute to the ongoing development of the practice.
The role will include a mixture of routine clinical sessions together with participation in the duty doctor rota on alternate Fridays. You will be supported by an experienced multi-disciplinary team and a strengthening management structure focused on service improvement, staff wellbeing and safe patient care.

Responsibilities
- Undertake routine GP consultations for registered patients across the practice in accordance with the agreed clinical sessions
- Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centred care for patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Participate in the practice duty doctor rota on alternate Fridays, including the assessment and management of urgent on-the-day clinical demand
- Manage clinical correspondence, results, prescriptions and other associated administrative tasks arising from consultations in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe, effective and responsive patient care
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and high-quality clinical records in line with GMC and practice standards
- Contribute to practice meetings, clinical discussions and service development where appropriate
- Support the practice’s commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and continuous service development
- Participate in mandatory training, appraisal, revalidation and continuing professional development requirements
Requirements
- Fully qualified GP with current GMC registration and licence to practise
- Included on the NHS England Performers list
- MRCGP (or equivalent) qualification
- Strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care
- Excellent communication, consultation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload safely and efficiently
- Commitment to professional development, appraisal and revalidation
- Experience of working in UK general practice is desirable
- Experience of EMIS Web is desirable
- Interest in teaching, training or service development would be welcomed but is not essential

The practice is led by three GP partners and supported by a committed multi-disciplinary team working together to deliver safe, high-quality primary care.
