Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within AshLea Medical Practice for a five session salaried GP to join our team on a maternity cover contract basis.
We are a two site practice in Ashtead and Leatherhead in Surrey, with ten partners and approximately 60 staff, our multi-disciplinary team includes GP Partners, Associate GPs, GPwSIs, Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Paramedic and a multi-skilled Practice Nurse team.
We serve approximately 20,000 patients and have close links and are actively involved in the Leatherhead Primary Care Network and DHC GP Federation.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a modern General Practice setting
- Undertake routine and urgent clinical consultations using our established patient triage model
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web
- Participate in clinical meetings, educational events and Practice Learning Time (PLT) sessions
- Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team to support excellent outcomes for patients
- Engage with quality improvement activities, teaching opportunities and Practice developments where appropriate
Requirements
- Qualified GP (CCT) GMC registration
- Performers List registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Experience of working in a primary care environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong IT skills
- Clear and polite manner
- Effective time management
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills
