Job Summary
We are a friendly, supportive and dynamic training PCN seeking a Salaried GP to join our clinical team on a fixed-term contract until the end of March 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for a well-structured role within a positive and collaborative practice environment, with a strong emphasis on safe working, continuity of care and clinician wellbeing.
We are offering 7 sessions per week, with 4 sessions at Grove House Surgery and 3 sessions at West Meads Doctors Surgery, both within the closely integrated Bognor Coastal Alliance PCN, alongside a competitive salary.
Responsibilities
The postholder will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary care services, including:
- Managing a patient list with a focus on safe, effective and patient-centred care
- Conducting 15-minute consultations, with 12 patients per session
- Undertaking a maximum of 1 home visit per day; where more than one visit is clinically required, additional time will be allocated accordingly
- Assessing, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Undertaking physical examinations, investigations and appropriate clinical procedures where required
- Prescribing medication and treatment in accordance with current guidelines and best practice
- Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical records
- Explaining diagnoses, investigations, test results and treatment plans clearly to patients
- Supporting patients with preventative healthcare and lifestyle advice where appropriate
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
- Participating in the delivery of care within a supportive training practice environment
- Supporting the training and supervision of GP Registrars, junior Doctors and other healthcare professionals where appropriate
- Consulting and liaising with colleagues and secondary care clinicians regarding patients with complex or specialised healthcare needs
- Complying with all legislation, GMC guidance and professional standards applicable to practising medicine
- Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and practice development activities where appropriate
