A great long term opportunity for GP’s seeking consistent sessional work in a supportive environment.
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity, supporting and supervising a dynamic multi-professional team, working from our newly refurbished primary care hub, providing core general practice as part of our enhanced access clinics from 16:00 20:00 on Thursdays and Fridays. We also have availability for Saturday hours, 09:00 to 13:00 and 13:00 to 17:00.
All 15 minute pre-booked appointments using EMIS, providing access to full patient record for each consultation. You will be supported by the Federation GPs (experienced GP Partners) and our operational management team.
Responsibilities
The role will help us to deliver:
Enhanced Access Clinics
- Core general practice sessions (For core general practice sessions, the salaried GP will be involved in a mixture of daily clinics including face to face, telephone, urgent and routine care. They will be provided with allocated time for home visits (low home visit rates and administration)
- Our same day urgent care service and provide clinician supervision

Qualifications
Essential
- Medical degree
- GMC full registration
- Medical indemnity
- Active on performers list
- Evidence of professional development
- MRCGP (may not be required for qualification before 2007)
- Postgraduate certificate in medical education for healthcare professionals (role-specific requirement)
Desirable
- Active GP trainer status
Experience
Essential
- Experience of initiating or participating in clinical audit

- Experience as a GP trainer
- Experience of teaching, assessing and supporting learners in practice
- Experience of leading, motivating and developing others
- Experience of driving quality improvement
Knowledge, understanding and attributes

- Excellent understanding of role-specific responsibilities (where relevant to role)
- Good working knowledge of computer systems and applications, including MS Office, clinical results and request systems and EMIS
- Good understanding of GP practice and Quality Outcome Framework and the Network DES Impact and Investment Fund processes
- Data gathering and interpretation

We are Surrey Heath Community Providers Limited, which is a federation of 7 GP practices across 10 sites, covering a population of over 104,000 patients across Surrey Heath. We began in 2016 and now employ around 200 members of staff across our head office sites, and our primary care and unplanned care services. Our services include Surrey Heath Primary Care Network, PRIMACY workflow management and Upper Gordon Road Surgery.
