Job summary
The Reception Team Manager takes responsibility for the supervision, training, and line management of a large team of receptionists across five practices in the Petersfield, Liphook and Liss area of Hampshire.

The reception team cover front of house reception desks at all sites; the telephone hubs which are based in Petersfield and Liphook, as well as several administration tasks.
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include
- Overseeing staff induction training and their ongoing training and development
- Conducting staff appraisals and performance development reviews
- Develop a sound knowledge of every task within the reception teams responsibilities and be able to step in to cover during staff absences
- Oversee rotas, annual leave and other absences and to re-distribute staff to ensure all tasks are completed with sufficient flexibility in expertise
- To manage staff hours within agreed budget
- Deal with complex enquiries from patients and to ensure patient satisfaction
- Liaise with the team, other managers and clinicians to deliver an excellent and professional service to patients, observing all policies and protocols
- To act as the point of contact for external organisation and contacts
Requirements
The ideal Reception Team Manager
- A calm, personable and capable leader who acts as a line manager to the reception team and is one of the middle management team who support the senior management team. Together we deliver an efficient and supportive service to our patients
- You should have a supportive, inclusive, and consultative nature with the ability to work to timescales and show resilience under pressure
- Excellent people skills
- Professional at all times
