Job summary
Kingston GP Chambers (GP federation for 20 member practices in Kingston) are delighted to be supporting Brunswick Surgery with their recruitment for a salaried GP. This will be an exciting role offering 5 sessions per week.
It is an essential requirement for the successful post-holder to work 2 full days (4 sessions) on Wednesdays and Fridays. There is flexibility for the 5th session to be scheduled for any other day during the week. The role will also include visits to care homes. Due to practice needs, we can only consider applications from those who are able to work four sessions across Wednesday and Friday.
We are looking for a motivated and forward thinking GP to join the friendly and enthusiastic practice, working from purpose-built award winning premises. Situated in leafy Surbiton, Southwest London, Brunswick is located within easy reach of central London, the A3 and M25.

Responsibilities
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal/check-in process
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
Requirements
- Qualified general practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
- Currently on a PCT performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register
- A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003 MRCGP
- Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983

- Brunswick is an established training practice for VTS/medical students. The practice is increasing it’s list size, and currently has 9,100 registered patients.
- The current GP clinical team consists of 4 Partners, 3 part-time salaried GPs and 1 trainee. They are supported by a friendly multi-disciplinary and non-clinical team.
