Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. You will provide treatment room and chronic care to our patients.
Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Chronic disease management
- Cervical smears
- Childhood immunisations
- Treatment room services – e.g. wound/ulcer care
- Assisting GP’s with coil fitting/removal, implant fitting/removal and other minor surgery procedures
- Pathology requests and diagnostic procedures
- Participation in multi-disciplinary team and clinical meetings
Ability to carry out the following competencies would be desirable as would an interest in developing in these areas:
- Respiratory care (COPD/Asthma)
- Diabetes
Requirements
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Nursing experience in various treatment room duties
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- Effective time management
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member
