An NHS ANP ACP(Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner) job description in general practice focuses on autonomous care, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of acute and long-term conditions in patients, similar to a GP but within their defined scope of practice. Responsibilities
Autonomous Clinical Practice:
- Providing care for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems through history taking, physical examination, and clinical decision-making.
- Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Diagnosing acute and chronic conditions, formulating treatment plans, and providing a complete episode of care.
Requirements
Minimum requirement:
- Registered General Nurse accountable to the NMC
- Masters level qualification in Adavanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner
- Nurse independent Prescriber or currently in training for the V300 course
- Adherence to professional codes of conduct, ensuring patient confidentiality, and maintaining professional competency
