We are offering up to 8 sessions per week, including participation in the duty rota. The role comes with a highly competitive salary, and we are open to discussing future progression opportunities.
Salary will be based on experience, but we pride ourselves on being fair and flexible in our negotiations.
Responsibilities
The main duties of the role include running regular GP clinics and participating in the duty doctor rota.

Established in 1974, we are a well-regarded training practice serving approximately 12,500 patients across two sites—Yapton and Middleton-on-Sea. Our clinical team includes 3 GP Partners and 5 Salaried GPs, all committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care.
Job description
The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high-quality medical services to our patients in line with the GMS contract. You will be responsible for providing excellent clinical care and maintaining the highest standards of practice.
In addition, the role involves upholding GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, and fostering a positive, collaborative working relationship with our multidisciplinary team.
Person specification and considerations
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following qualities and qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with a clear, polite telephone manner and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Effective time management, supporting consistent and high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with support always available when needed.
- Commitment to clinical governance, including adherence to policies and procedures, and an interest in shaping these to promote safe and effective practice.
- Experience in clinical risk management is essential.
- Familiarity with SystmOne is desirable.
- Fully qualified GP, holding:
- MRCGP
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (JCPTGP)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
- Full GMC registration and inclusion on the National Performers List.
- Appropriate medical indemnity cover (provided by the practice via MDDUS).
- Eligibility to practice independently in the UK, with experience in a primary care setting.
- Experience with QOF and clinical audit is highly beneficial, along with a working understanding of the GMS contract.
- Enhanced DBS check will be required.
