Dr Larisa Han has been a GP since 1999. She is Chair of Surrey LMC since 2023 and was deputy Chair for 9 years before that. She has always been involved in the LMC going back to her trainee year.
She has held salaried, retainer and locum roles in the past and been a partner at Merrow Park Surgery since 2009. She holds finance and management roles at her practice. She was the clinical director of East Guildford PCN from 2019-2024 with 6 practices.
In CCG days, she held the post of Practice Council Chair. She continues to be Locality Chair for Guildford and Waverley place.
Her focus through all her roles is promoting the partnership model of general practice as this has been shown to be better for patient care. Keeping partnerships at the heart of the NHS enables continuity of care of patients which is better for patients’ experience as well as improving quality of life and longevity. This needs resources and support at place, ICS and all levels.
Clinically, she has an interest in Dermatology, having done the Dermatology diploma and held GPwSI for 8 years.
In her spare time, she enjoys painting landscapes and florals. She has exhibited locally and in London. She also enjoys swimming and reading.
