Job summary

High Glades Medical Centre is a large, established practice working across two sites in St Leonards-on-Sea:

• Upper Church Road
• St Leonards Medical Centre, Filsham Road

We have developed a broad multi-disciplinary team that enables our GPs to focus on what they are trained to do best: clinical problem-solving, managing complexity and providing continuity of care to the patients who need it most.

Our wider clinical and support team includes ANPs/ACPs, a medicines management team, FCP Physiotherapists, Care Coordinators and PCN support staff.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for GPs who want to develop their role while making a meaningful contribution to patient care and the wider practice team.

We are particularly interested in hearing from GPs with experience or a developing interest in:

• Continuity of care and clinical triage – helping us ensure patients are directed to the right clinician while maintaining continuity for those with complex or ongoing needs
• Frailty and complex care – supporting proactive, coordinated care for our older and more vulnerable patients
• Cardiovascular medicine – helping us further develop prevention, long-term condition management and cardiovascular care within the practice

You do not necessarily need to bring expertise in all three areas. We are keen to understand your particular interests and how these could complement the skills already within our team.

Participation in our supportive on-call team is preferred, with colleagues working together to manage demand and clinical risk.

Time to develop

Our salaried GP roles include CPD time, giving you protected space for quality improvement, service development and training.

We recognise that GPs need different kinds of support at different stages of their careers. We work collaboratively to help you develop a role that is professionally rewarding and sustainable.

We are particularly keen to complement the demands of general practice with opportunities to develop something a little different – whether through a specialist clinical interest, training, leadership, quality improvement or service development.
