Practices wishing to participate will need to confirm in writing to the ICB by 23:59 on 31 July 2026 and must include the practices planning assumptions (i.e. number of vaccines the practice expects to administer). In addition to receive claims you will also need to accept the service on CQRS even if you intend to sub-contract or collaborate in PCNs to deliver the service.
Please note that if a Practice informed the ICB when signing up to the Spring covid programme in February, it is not anticipated that you will be required to resubmit your planning assumptions again before 31st July 2026.
Eligible cohorts of Adult Influenza and start dates

The IoS payment for 2026/27 per adult influenza vaccine administered remains at £10.06.
Children’s influenza Vaccination programme

GPs will be able to sign up to participate in the ES on CQRS by 23:59 on 20 August 2026. In addition to receive claims you will also need to accept the service on CQRS even if you intend to sub-contract or collaborate in PCNs to deliver the service.
Eligible cohorts of children’s Influenza and start dates
This service runs from 01 September until 31 March 2027 (Community Pharmacy programme commences on 01 October 2026)
Practices are reminded that the vaccination programmes must not commence prior to the national start date as vaccines administered may not be recognised and reimbursed.
Under the programme the cohorts eligible for an influenza vaccination from 01 September 2026 are children aged:

| – two or three years of age on 31st August 2026. If a child turns 2 years of age during the flu season (on or after 1st September 2026) they will not be eligible under the national programme (unless in clinical risk groups). If a child turns 4 years of age during the flu season (on or after 1st September 2026) they are eligible for the 2026 to 2027 programme, as the child was 3 years of age before the start of the flu vaccination season; – 6 months up to and including 17 years of age and in clinical risk groups (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza Chapter). |
