Dear Colleagues,
Due to ongoing IT issues with the laboratory information system, it is with much regret that we request that all general practices cease phlebotomy with immediate effect for the rest of today Tuesday 26 May 2026.
We are still able to accept the specimens that are already in transit and these will be stabilised upon arrival and processed as soon as possible. Practices can still request tests via ICE.
We recognise the impact this may have and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We expect services to resume tomorrow, Wednesday 27 May, and will provide an update if this changes.
