Job summary
We have exciting opportunities for Portfolio GP work on behalf of Surrey Heath Community Providers (The GP Federation) and Primary Care Network (PCN).
We are looking for experienced General Practitioners with a range of skills to support the Surrey Heath Federation and Primary Care Network. We are offering a variety of flexible sessions per week between 8am and 8pm. The post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice.

Responsibilities
- Joint injection clinics (evidence of qualifications required)
- Enhanced access clinics
- Core general practice sessions (For core general practice sessions, the salaried GP will be involved in a mixture of daily clinics including face to face, telephone, urgent and routine care. They will be provided with allocated time for home visits ((low home visit rates)) and administration)
- Same day urgent care and provide clinician supervision
- GP input to proactive care multi-disciplinary team meetings (MDT) (2 years post CCT experience, remote working)
- Dermatology clinics (evidence of qualifications required)
Requirements
Knowledge, understanding and attributes
Essential
- Excellent understanding of role-specific responsibilities (where relevant to role)
- Good working knowledge of computer systems and applications, including MS Office, clinical results and request systems and EMIS
- Good understanding of GP practice and Quality Outcome Framework and the Network DES Impact and Investment Fund processes
- Data gathering and interpretation
- Committed to multi-professional team working
- Demonstrates a willingness to develop
- Clear understanding of Primary Care Services, operations and procedures
- Demonstrates an understanding and insight into current professional issues and developments within the NHS
- Understanding of clinical governance and quality issues
- Ability to travel – car driver with valid licence and business insurance
- Reliable and flexible; willing and able to work on a rota, visit patients and flexible to working hours to meet the needs of the practice clinical commitment

Qualifications

- Medical degree
- GMC fully registered
- Medical indemnity
- Active on performers list
- Evidence of professional development
- Good communication (oral / written) skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
- MRCGP (may not be required for qualification before 2007)
- Postgraduate certificate in medical education for healthcare professionals (role-specific requirement)
Desirable
- Active GP trainer status

We began in 2016 and now employ around 200 members of staff across our head office sites, and our primary care and unplanned care services. Our services include Surrey Heath Primary Care Network, PRIMACY workflow management and Upper Gordon Road Surgery.
