Job summary
We are looking for a Practice Business Manager to manage the operational aspects and work with the partners on business development and strategy. This diverse role is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running, staff management, facilities management, overseeing HR functions, compliance and ensuring the practice meets its contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills, be experienced in business and project management and have high level IT skills. We have a high staff retention so they will also promote and maintain staff development.
A Business Operations Officer, Digital Transformation Lead and a Patient Services Officer support this role.
Requirements
Ideally, we are looking for experience within general practice but welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate that they have the transferable skills and experience in the areas mentioned.

Quayside Medical Practice is a well-established teaching practice, providing care to a patient list size of 12,000. We are a stable partnership of 7 GP Partners with 4 Salaried GPs and a committed team of clinical and non-clinical staff.
Located in Newhaven, we are very close to Brighton and Lewes. Newhaven’s town centre is benefitting from investment and renewal, at the heart of which sits our new premises which we are expecting to relocate to in the Summer of 2026. The new manager will play a key role in this move.
