Flansham Park Health Centre is a training Practice with 4 dedicated GP Partners and 8 Salaried GP's supported by a team of highly professional clinical and non-clinical staff to provide the highest possible standard of care to over 13,200 patients. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. You will provide treatment room and chronic care to our patients.

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. You will provide treatment room and chronic care to our patients.

Responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Cervical smears
  • Childhood immunisations
  • Treatment room services – e.g. wound/ulcer care
  • Assisting GP’s with coil fitting/removal, implant fitting/removal and other minor surgery procedures
  • Pathology requests and diagnostic procedures
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary team and clinical meetings

Ability to carry out the following competencies would be desirable as would an interest in developing in these areas:

  • Respiratory care (COPD/Asthma)
  • Diabetes

The ability to communicate with staff and patients with a variety of needs and at different levels is essential as is attention to detail and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
